FIELD AGENT JERRY PICKETT
Jerry Pickett is a Knights of Columbus Field Agent from our very own Council #1585. Jerry serves brother Knights and their families in the Southern portion of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, serving members in Crystal Falls, Iron River, Escanaba, Gladstone, Manistique, Kingsford, Norway and Northern Marinette County in Wisconsin. Jerry has been a member of the Knights of Columbus since 2001, and became a Field Agent for the Order in 2014.
When asked why he became a Knight, Jerry said:
“My strong family values and love of the Catholic Church fit perfectly with the Knights of Columbus and Father McGivney’s vision for providing for widows and orphans. Serving to build strong families and helping the less fortunate through charities is a great way of life!”
Originally from Wausaukee, Wisconsin, Jerry worked for thirty years in manufacturing and distribution. In the process he has made numerous lifelong friends, and has a strong business background. He understands the importance of hard work.
Jerry is married to his wife, Tina. Jerry said:
“In 1996 my Faith was greatly impacted when Tina entered the Roman Catholic Church just months before our wedding. Her love for the Church has made me a better man.”
The Pickett’s have been blessed with four daughters and a son. Their family actively serves in their home parish, American Martyrs Church, in Kingsford. Jerry serves as an usher and is on the parish council while Tina is a Eucharistic minister. They enjoy spending time as a family and participating in outdoor activities.
Jerry is a Fourth Degree Knight since 2011 and is a very active member of the council. His involvement includes running successful Lenten Fish Fry’s each year, and he leads “America Needs Fatima” Rosary rallies locally.
Jerry has extensive knowledge of the products the Knights of Columbus offers to members and their families, and stands ready to help them achieve their financial goals.
